In 2011, Suraksha Hospital was born out of a heartfelt mission — a vision shared by two distinguished medical professionals: Dr. Harish Murthy, a renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon, and Dr. Kalpana Murthy, an accomplished Ophthalmologist. Both doctors, deeply connected to their roots in Raichur, saw a growing gap in the availability of quality, ethical, and patient-focused healthcare in their hometown. While many patients were forced to travel long distances to bigger cities for even basic treatments, the Murthys believed that no one should have to leave home to receive world-class care.
Armed with years of clinical experience, technical expertise, and a relentless passion for patient welfare, the husband-wife duo set out to build more than just a hospital — they aimed to build a sanctuary for healing. From the very beginning, Suraksha Hospital operated on core values of integrity, empathy, and medical excellence. The founders made a deliberate choice to stay involved in day-to-day operations, ensuring that every department, procedure, and patient interaction aligned with their original mission.
What truly sets Dr. Harish and Dr. Kalpana apart is their hands-on leadership style. Rather than taking a backseat, they’ve remained actively engaged in patient care, mentoring junior staff, upgrading facilities, and maintaining a culture of ethical decision-making. Their personal involvement has created a sense of trust among patients and professionals alike, earning Suraksha Hospital a reputation not just for medical outcomes, but for human touch in healthcare.
Over the years, their vision has grown. What began as a specialty-focused hospital has now expanded into a fully-equipped multispecialty center, offering a wide range of services from emergency trauma care to advanced diagnostics. But even with this growth, Suraksha Hospital has never lost sight of its founding promise — to put people before profits, always.
